In order to rank on Google locally, we need to aim to be the most relevant
Googles in Business job is to match up searchers with the most relevant results in reference to their searches. The more relevant google deems your search terms / keywords the higher you will rank.
Locality: Local SEO helps businesses show up when people search for services “near me” or in a specific town.
Example: “Pizza near Doylestown” → shows top 3 local businesses in the Local Pack.
Why it matters: More visibility = more foot traffic, phone calls, and sales.
Factor 2: Distance
Are you close to the person searching?

Every Town has a Pin or town center that pops up when you google directions
The closer your business is to that pin, the more “local” google will deem your
business
Factor 3: Prominence – Are you a trusted, established business?
